Women In Africa: What contribution do women make to the economy?

Marrakech, Morocco, October 8th 2018

The 2nd Women In Africa Summit (WIA) Initiative in Marrakech recognizing the contributions of women and their strong presence in the largest sectors of the African economy.

At the closing session of this Summit, under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI and organized under the theme “Looking Africa with confidence, believing in one’s talents”, participants called for the sharing of power between women and men in Africa, highlighting the importance of women’s vital role in the continent’s economy.

A first for southern Africa as Regent Business School launches a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Finance and Banking

In a precedent-setting move, Regent Business School (RBS) has launched southern Africa’s first Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Finance and Banking on the back of growing global demand for Islamic banking professionals. The qualification is one of three new one-year courses introduced by the institution to create a powerful pool of special-skilled professionals in the continent.

Honoris Announces a Major Investment in Campus Infrastructure in Tunis, Tunisia

Tunis, Tunisia, July 17th, 2018

On July 17th, Honoris’ executive team and board members were honored by the presence of Mr. Chedly Bouallegue – Governor of Tunis and Mrs. Souad Abderrahim – Mayor of Tunis. The pair joined the team in a ceremony organized to lay the cornerstone of the new Université Centrale campus.

The facility will be located in the heart of Tunis and will offer a world-class education environment for our students. The acquisition of the land and the development of the new campus (20,000 to 25,000 square meters) represents a total investment up to 50 million USD.

ACTIS International Scholarships Winners

London, UK, June 26th, 2018

Three students from across the Honoris United Universities, the first private pan-African higher education network, have been awarded the Actis International Scholarship. Viraksha Chetty, MBA graduate from Regent Business School, South Africa has won the opportunity of a lifetime to join the Women Transforming Leadership programme at the prestigious University of Oxford whilst Akram Maaroufi, graduate of Engineering in Petrochemical Chemistry and recent graduate, Chourouk Haouel, Université Centrale Tunisia have won a scholarship to study the Master in Energy Management programme at ESCP Europe, London Campus.

ESCP Europe Signs Comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding with Honoris United Universities
