MANCOSA launches the new Pretoria learning centre

Pretoria, South Africa, December 3rd, 2018

The learning centre aims to provide a wider range of services to existing students and prospective students in and around the Pretoria area. Students will have access to additional service offerings such as early registrations; face-to-face academic interactions and larger lecture venues.

MANCOSA invited current DBA student Mr. Mandla Zembe; Head of Protection Services at Anglo American; as the keynote speaker to the event. Mr. Zembe’s address centred on the Honoris United Universities theme; “Education for Impact”; which he summed up accurately in his introductory paragraph; “There’s a difference between a person with qualifications and an educated person. An educated person behaves differently to a qualified person because an educated person brings value and change into a situation and seeks to learn more whilst a qualified person knows
only what he/she has been taught and behaves as such.”

In his address, Mr. Zembe highlighted the benefits of studying at a Higher Educational Institution such as MANCOSA who collaborates the dynamic changes of global, geographical, macro and micro environmental factors into their approach of developing future leaders. “Education also confers knowledge about the world – highlighting different types of labour markets and the demands for specific jobs, the elements of physical and mental health, the workings of government, and the nature of life in a modern society. It also provides an individual with the cognitive tools required to manipulate the knowledge available so as to maximise their well-being, solving problems, adapting to new solutions, and by choosing themselves as those critical in particular settings that are supportive of their ongoing development. It’s comforting to know that MANCOSA is already doing that;” said Mr. Zembe.

MANCOSA continues to strive towards the institutions vision to be the leading distance education provider that is responsive to the evolving education and training needs of dynamic economies through a commitment to people, opportunity and quality.
